Territory : Asia

Föllakzoid began seven years ago as a trance experience between childhood friends Diego, Juan Pablo, and Domingo from Santiago, Chile. Heavily informed by the heritage of the ancient music of the Andes, the band has learned to integrate this influence with contemporary sounds of their times, creating a rich yet minimal atmosphere.

III is a four-part minimal sound voyage in which you can hear Föllakzoid's musical language developing into something more upbeat, obscure, and sharp, yet even simpler in terms of elements.

Drawing on their 1970s Chilean predecessors like Los Jaivas and Aguaturbia, they’ve modernized the sounds of Chile’s past by adding krautrock and progressive elements. They sound like they could be the lovechild of Amon Düül II and The 13th Floor Elevators and the world is a better place for it.
— Noisey
For Föllakzoid, though, space seems to be the place.
— Pitchfork
Probably wise not to fall too deep under its trance, though; it might not be easy to find your way back from.
